OMG – I just laughed, so hard, at work.  I mean, red in the face, tears in the eyes, ridiculous kind of laughing.  And it felt sooooo good.

I am a buyer for a large aerospace company (rhymes with “going” – you do the math).  There is a woman in my group who keeps all of her tasks held close to her chest in an effort to be “indispensable”.  BTW?  I hate people like that.  I really, really do.  Anyway, there was this one screen in our system that we work in that NO ONE had access to except this one woman.  That wouldn’t normally be a problem except that it’s a screen we all have to get into occasionally to change information on certain parts we buy.  And THIS wouldn’t be a problem if this one person would make the changes we request, when we request them.  But she doesn’t.  She does it in her own sweet time because she can.

Donna and another woman I work with, Sandy, have been asking for months to get access to this screen because they used to use them in previous positions they held with the company and they know how to use it.  The idea was they would get access and make these periodic changes for the rest of us buyers so we wouldn’t have to rely on Ms. Crabbypants.  Months have gone by and nothing.

Until today.  Today they were both granted access.

And there was much rejoicing.

Apparently, a little too much.  I was standing in Sandy’s cubicle with Donna and the two of them were doing a small celebratory dance, shaking their asses, raising the roof, there might have even been a little running man in there too.  Being the complete goof ball I am, I join in and instruct them on the booty shake/ass slap move….and when I look up at the end of the aisle – there was the production floor manager.  Just staring at us.

God, we’re pinched.  We’re in so much trouble for goofing off.

Or so we thought.

Production manager put his hands up in the air as if to say WTF?!?  And then he turned around and shook his booty better than us girls did.

And we laughed until we were sick.

And I so needed that.
