Okay, I am a buyer.  I don’t get to buy fun stuff, I buy boring mechanical parts for the most part.  In my group, we have the two Cub Scouts, one nicknamed Todd and one nicknamed Slingblade.  Sling is VERY cute and very young, he’s 25.

Because he is new (both to our group and to the profession) he is buying the real basic stuff.  Nuts, bolts, screws, etc.  He typically buys them from a distributor, but they are going out of business.  As it so happens, Donna has a sales rep from a different distrubtor that calls her every day looking for business.  So, she pushed this woman over to Sling since he is looking for a new supplier.  The woman called Sling and chatted his ear off for a bit, said she was excited to have a new company boyfriend (WTF??) and gave him her contact info.

He fired off an email with a request for quote for the parts he’s trying to buy and within 3 minutes got a response.  He was excited at first thinking she was already returning the quote, but oh no.  Not so much.  This is what it said.

“Sling (obviously, she didn’t call him Sling), here is a picture of me so you can put a face with the voice.  I expect a picture of you in return.”

He opened the picture and it is the MOST cougariffic woman I have personally ever seen.  Straddling a giant Harley Davidson.  OMG.

We laughed until we were sick.  Then we called people over to come look at it.  In the end, our entire group saw it and even our senior manager came over to look.

It is quite possibly the best thing ever to happen in the three years I’ve been here.  Oh, and I suggested that he send a picture of the IPC instead of his own.  LOL  The IPC didn’t think it was funny.  I certainly did though.
