Last week my HSBFF posted a note to her LJ that she was the proud owner of one ticket to see MUSE/U2 in Jersey in September.  I immediately went green with envy.  MUSE?  Really?  I was initially a little heartbroken and kind of half heartedly sent her a note saying it was a shame I didn’t know because I would totally have bought a ticket and flown out there to see them with her (besides, hello???  she lives in New York City people).  Well, as it works out, she went ahead and bought 2 new tickets (that I paid for, as a birthday gift to her) and will just be selling her single on stubhub.

SCORE!

September 24, 2009 in Jersey, I will get to see MUSE and U2 with my HSBFF.  Life doesn’t get much better than that.

Oh, wait.  It does.

Ticket sales were so stupendous for the first show that they decided to play a second night in Jersey and holy balls batman, we’re going to that one too!!

Concert #1 is on Thursday night, concert #2 is on Friday and I plan to go out a day early (maybe) and stay through Sunday.  To quote my HSBFF, “we’ll be dead of the awesome”.  And it will be SO worth it.

Circumstances (read:  my super bitchy mother) prevented me from seeing her in December when I was supposed to go to Chicago to see Kill Hannah with HSBFF and Julie and Jai.  After being (forcibly) separated for nearly 20 years, I have a need to put my arms around her and hug her as often as possible.

So, yeah, we’ll be dead of the awesome and it will be fantastic.
